WOW. I had ot pick my jaw up off the floor while watching this disc. The movie is not that great, but I had to see this DVD just to see if I liked it more than the theater. The picture on this is just amazing. Finally...something to top Toy Story2 for a reference animated picture, or any picture for that matter!
The 5.1 is awesome, very very good mix on this puppy.
Only glanced over the features, and damn there are lots. Will post back soon on more about the features...
except for the Easter Egg I found. This has to be one of the damn funniest Easter Eggs ever. On disc two, go to highlights, then go to the second page. There will be a little box in the bottom right hand corner of the screen with video playing. Highlight it and watch what happens. This just has to be seen, trust me, it is better left a surprise. (but if you must know)Spoiler:it is a segment from Michael Jackson's Thriller, animated using characters from the film. The general is caught by zombified versions of Aki, Gray and the Spirits. They all do the dance from the Thriller video. I havent seen the video in a while so I dont know if the moves are exactly the same, but damn is it funny as hell to watch!

They must have moved up the release date? Maybe because it did so bad in the theater that they wanted to step up DVD sales? It was scheduled to street on the 23rd but mine is on its way since I got a shipment confirmation from Deep Discount DVD.

I go on the hunt for mine tomorrow. I have a feeling I will enjoy this movie more than when I saw it in the cinema, kindof like Episode I.

I have not seen this movie yet but by all the great reviews of the disc I can hardly wait for the release. I did the same thing with Titan AE and find I don't really like the movie too much (could be Drew Berrymores voice kills it for me). I have fired Titan AE up lately to try it out on my new theater and find I love the scene when they are in the ice crystals, It is great in EX/ES.
So tell me, if I did not care for Titan will I like Final Fantasy?

Final Fantasy is like a cross between the movies Ghost and Starship Troopers (without the gore). Titan A.E. was more along the lines of Star Wars in a way.
