I bought the denon because of the Pre amp outs. but the Onkyo sounded great IMO. I might have gone with the onkyo if it had pre outs

Another vote for the Denon, from a very happy Denon owner.

i have the Onkyo. yes i wanted pre-outs, but i'd rather have a good remote and no pre-outs than a receiver with them and a long paperweight to control it. the 1802's remote is less than impressive and was basically the deciding factor against Denon for me.

I recently bought a 1602,basically the 1802's younger brother. First ever 'receiver' and i love it, was easy to set up, adjust & use. I must admit that the remote isnt great but does work. Personally I'm researching a good universal remote so I can lose my 'remote cluster'
One more for the denon [IMG]
