This year two films with the same name are being released : (1) THE PROJECTIONIST- a documentary about a cinema projectionist in NYC and (2) THE PROJECTIONIST - a film from the Dominican Republic .
Does anyone know any other films with the same title being released in the same year? There were two films with OSCAR WILDE in the title in 1960 One called OSCAR WILDE and the other THE TRIALS OF OSCAR WILDE (later change to THE MAN WITH THE GREEN CARNATION),

There were two films about Jean Harlow released more or less at the same time in the early/mid 1960s.

And High Society in 1956 was both an MGM musical and a Bowery Boys comedy. There was a mix-up with Oscar nominations over this coincidence.

Not exactly the same, but two Lambada movies were released on March 16, 1990 in the USA. One was simply called "Lambada." The other one was called "The Forbidden Dance." But the producers of that one worked very hard to include the word "Lambada" somewhere in the lead in or tag line, i.e. "Lambada. The Forbidden Dance" or "The Forbidden Dance...is Lambada". Any time someone mentioned "The Forbidden Dance," it was almost always paired with the word "Lambada." And sometimes in passing "Lambada" would get the bonus of having "the forbidden dance" added to its title.

I think I saw both, but can't remember much about them other than that "The Forbidden Dance" starred Laura Herring or sometimes Harring.

Just the year before, there was a Turkish movie called "LAMBADA", which might have found its way into some specialty theaters in the USA by 1990 as well.

The Vengeance of Khan and Revenge of the Jedi came out in two different years, so they probably don't qualify. :D
