According to this http://www.tcm.com/this-month/article/288809|296104/Behind-the-Camera-Bad-Day-at-Black-Rock.html John Sturges mentions on the commentary track on the Criterion LD that it was filmed both ways.
SLEEPING BEAUTY was only released in 35mm in most countries. The 70mm release did come decades later when it was re-issued.

Disney was definitely recording stuff in Stereo as early as 1954 as the 20,000 Leagues Under The Sea soundtrack is proper true stereo (maybe Toot Whistle Plunk & Boom as well).
THE COMMAND was filmed in both non-anamorphic widescreen 3-D and CinemaScope.
It would be rediculously expensive for Warner to do that as the 3D film was never finished. It only exists as raw camera footage. They would have to edit the footage to somewhat match the finished 'Scope version, find all the sound elements for those takes, and mix the soundtrack from scratch. Basically doing post-production for an unfinished film.Would be cool to see the 3D version on Blu-ray in 3D.
