Hey just got some reels from a friend today that I am not going to use. They are 12' reels made by RTI, they are I would say bronze in color. I have 4 of them. Looking for $15.00 plus shipping on each. Will also look at trades.

There is a guy on ebay selling film reel tables for $175.00 and $250.00 He also has film reel clocks. The more expensive has a reel on both ends. The others just on the top with a metal base.I know he is cheaper than any site has them, but still that just seems like so much for so little!

His reels are NOT perfect..but with a little elbow grease you can make them look GREAT! And at $3.50 per reel..you are saving a LOT of money!!!!! For myself, I took the reels I bought from him to my local auto body guy and for around 10 bucks a piece he made them all shiny and new!!!!
Something to consider.

Scooter, any chance you have a picture you could post of one of those swap meet reels. Thanks for the info. :emoji_thumbsup:

Scooter, are you also using those $23 27x40" poster frames that can be found online ? How are they holding up?

Actually the were $11 or so..and they work JUST fine. For the backlit ones, I am using 2 pieces of plexi with flourescent fixtures behind them.

I believe I got them from Frames USA in Ohio.

Scooter: Are the swap meet 35mm reels the black ones in the triangular shape on your basement wall? Or the silver one on your white basement door? Also, is the silver one dented? It looks like the edges are sort of warped? Otherwise, nice setup! Thanks.

Like I said above..the reels are not perfect..and yeah a couple of them have dents. He has both the black plastic and metal reels. Best bet is to reach out to him to see what he currently has.

Thanks for the compliment.

Hey scooter...I just placed and order at frame usa, and I just read that orders take 7-12 business days to ship. How long did it take yours to ship? (sheesh, it's like the old days at SVS except it's only kinda worth the wait)
