As much as I love The Third Man, I have to agree with this outcome. While TTT does have noirish elements, DI pretty much defines the term.

Well there were some odd bumps on the road (I love The Third Man, but no way should it have been in the final), but in the end, the archetypal film noir won, so all's well that ends well.

For once, I'm in complete agreement with George.
Thanks for the tournament Steve. Glad to see such a deserving film win. There are a lot of great noirs not released on DVD. Hopefully that situation will be addressed, to some extent, in the coming years.
