That would leave SAMMY GOING SOUTH (aka A BOY TEN FEET TALL) and A HIGH WIND IN JAMAICA as the two remaining Alex. Mackendrick films I still want on Blu in the U.S.. I don't much care about DON'T MAKE WAVES, the director's ninth and final film starring Tony Curtis in an American comedy almost anyone could have helmed. But, boy, his other eight are classics.

I saw these two films recently, courtesy of the Criterion Channel, and they hold up very well. Recommended.

I have the region 2 UK dvd of Sammy Going South and it's ok but would look better on Blu-ray. Love Whisky Galore and will see The Maggie for the first time.

I also have the UK DVD of SAMMY. It's anamorphic, and it looks okay. A little odd that UK hasn't given us a Blu yet. As for A HIGH WIND IN JAMAICA, it is owned by 20th Century Fox (Disney now). I bought a Spanish Blu release which looked legit, but it has serious PQ problems. One of my favorite adventures. I wish Twilight Time could have squeezed this out before things went sour.

the combined set has been on preorder since it went live, nice to see these Ealing Comedies getting some love on this side of the pond, also looks like the Alistair Sim 4 film collection was announced,
