I don't know if it will be getting an official review from HTF, but I just saw a very funny new film from Netflix, out on DVD this week. It is called FILM GEEK, about a video store clerk who gets fired and has to go out in the real world. The reason I think everyone here would love it, there is a scene where someone comes to the counter with a non-letterboxed version of a film. Scotty, the clerk, tells him it isn't letterboxed and that he should get the widescreen version. "You mean with the black bars? Nah, I want this one". Scotty then gives him a look that I am sure everyone here can understand. Great film, sort of NAPOLEON DYNAMITE meets CINEMANIA. As funny as both. Although, kind of painful to watch. Most of the film geeks here may identify a bit with Scotty. I'd say to check out my blog for my review, but after seeing this, and Scotty's constant plugging of his film website, I'm afraid to.
