I'm back with Netflix and here's what my queue looks like:
    Series 7: The Contenders
    Session 9
    Spiders
    The Wicker Man
    Ginger Snaps
    Chopper
    Dagon
    Hedwig and the Angry Inch
    Panic
    Never Cry Wolf
    Circus
    Fitzcarraldo
    The Stunt Man
    The Apartment
    Beautiful Creatures
    eXistenZ
    Octopus
    Last Night
    Jesus' Son
    Where the Money Is
    The Third Man
    The Salton Sea
    Pollock
    Vanya on 42nd Street
    Animal Factory
    Bamboozled
    Joe Gould's Secret
    The Sweet Hereafter
    The Last Broadcast
These are all movies A) I've never seen, B) I've seen bits and pieces, and (in the case of Fitzcarraldo and The Stunt Man) movies I saw so long ago I remember virtually nothing.
I may end up keeping the Netflix for a while, so I'm looking for a few suggestions. You guys know I've seen most of the normal stuff, so throw a few of your offbeat favorites my way.
    Thanks.

Good cue(queue), Scott. Just canceled my Netflix account (no reflection on them, but just got DirecTV installed. Will probably rejoin once football season is over).
Must-sees on your list: Hedwig, Vanya, Jesus Son, Sweet Hereafter, Fitzcarraldo, and Panic (great movie!). The rest I've either not seen, or are too embarassed to admit that you haven't already purchased them on DVD! [IMG]

I've edited your list down to what I've seen and rated them. Since we have very different tastes, I imagine you'll rate them differently. [IMG] Dagon for instance, is one you'll probably like better than I did. I think it could have been a minor classic had it a larger budget and less schlockiness. Anyway, that's a pretty good list there. But if you're gonna watch The Third Man, you might as well rent Odd Man Out as well - it's almost as good. [IMG]

    At Close Range
    Black Christmas
    Odd Man Out
--I was looking for Queen Margot, but they don't seem to have it. [IMG]

You know what's funny here? I was just at Netflix looking for horror movies to fill out my scary movie challenge, and I saw at least 5 movies with review quotes from Mr. Scott Weinberg.[IMG] [IMG]
I went with some I have really been dying to see, but in case they become unavailable, you inspired me to pick up The Stuff, and two more that I can't remember off the top of my head.

Haha! I noticed that as well. Those quotes come courtesy of my reviews at Apollo Movie Guide.
Thanks for noticing, Brian! Keep in mind that my reviews come with a full money-back guarantee. [IMG]

Me neither. I would really like to see it, though. SteveGon cannot stop talking about it!
BTW, I suppose Netflix only works in the US. Does anyone know if there is something like that in Canada?

    Mine looks like this:
    Ghost in the Shell
    The Decalogue Vol. 1
    The Decalogue Vol. 2
Butch Cassidy and the Sundance Kid
    Rocky
    Mrs. Doubtfire
    Taxi Driver
    Amadeus
    American Graffiti
    High Noon
    Some Like It Hot
    The Deer Hunter
    Apocalypse Now
    Double Indemnity
    It's a Wonderful Life
    The Manchurian Candidate
    My Fair Lady
    Network
    Patton
    Rebel Without a Cause
    The Searchers
    The Sound of Music
    Stagecoach
    Guess Who's Coming to Dinner
    A Clockwork Orange
    Frankenstein: Classic Monster Collection
    Election
    Rushmore
In the Heat of the Night
    Rebecca
Most are from the AFI list. Some I have seen along time ago... should be an interesting couple of months. I have the Third Man here, I plan on watching it tommorow. Unfortunately, my experiences with film noir are not very good (I never finished Maltese Falcon [IMG] )
I saw Vertigo last week, it replaced Rear Window as my fav Hitchcock.
Sorry for the thread hijacking :b

    Macbeth, 1971

Those are some from my rental history page. Unfortunately, A Midnight Clear and Last Night are P&S, but I rented them because I had never seen them.

I'll tell you what, Steve, I think 10 Things I Hate About You is thoroughly enjoyable. It's a lot of fun.
