Fellowship of The Ring DVD release date ? (1 Viewer)

I have no idea if this has any bearing on the US release date, but apparently, EIV who will release the film in the UK have listed the release date for this as August 27th.
I hope the US release is a bit quicker than this.

The mind boggles at the possibilities. How about an uber edition with leather bound, gold leaf editions of the books, with movie stills as illustrations, and inserts for the DVDs?
