I´m wondering what i want on the Next Gen DVD Recorders:

    1. CHEAPER!!

    2. Firewire Input AND Output

    2. All models compatible with at least DVD-R (Who has proved to be very compatible with almost all DVD player).

    3. Ability to record SAP programs (Making a DVD with two audio tracks)

    4. Ability to record CD-R, in both audio and video (AudioCD and VideoCD). I know that computer drives write both DVD and CD's, and as VideoCD is Mpeg1 there will be no much problem. (Figure this, less than 40c per 80 min, quality enough to save trailers and certain TV problems, and in good media, a long lifetime).

All good ideas. Here's another simple one... Faster! 1x or 2x DVD writing and 8x CD writing is just waaaay too slow. At least those are what the speeds are for the +RW and -RW drives at Best Buy.
