Nice! I was just hoping for the "Ice Froggy Frog" video that was on the VHS copy, but this is great. I can finally retire my WS laserdisc. Looks like Santa Claus is coming early this year...and not necessarily to town.

It looks like the bottom says "presented in a FULL SCREEN version". I know that it says in the grid that it 1.85:1, but the bottom looks like it says different. Also Sony DVDs usually say "digitally mastered audio and anamorphic picture" when the movie is in 16x9 widescreen, but all this one says digitally mastered audio.

"Political, Unrest, Stabilize, Society, Yeah."

"Naw."

"YEAH!"

Amazon.com only says "widescreen". Hmm... Oh, don't make me break my non-anamorphic embargo for this one! This is such a cult classic.

I just saw this on Satelite. My girlfriend was seeing it for the first time and loved it. It actually made me nostalgic because I used to listen to rap back then.

Just got this today and am sad to say that its 1.85:1 NON-Anamorphic! Guess I should be happy it wasn't P&S. Oh well...

I am so sad to hear that this is non-anamorphic! I will still buy it, as I have pretty much worn out my VHS, but this makes me very unhappy. Still, to have this film on disc at all is wonderful. Remember how long it took to release the soundtrack?

Man, this disc is LOADED. Since it was recorded on Super 16 the lack of anamorphic is not as aggriegeous as it could be. Super 16 is not the highest resolution film in the world. :)

The disc is GREAT! The commentary is fantastic, the mode of the film where NWH comment at the beginning, middle, and end is great. The videos for the songs are great. Oh, I am LOVING this disc!

If you don't like that, then F Y M !

Got around to watching the disc this weekend. The transfer kind of sucks, and the volume is really low, but at least it's on disc at last!
