Yep this is a poll for the Kurosawa fans out there. I've got 2 friends that also love Kurosawa films however each of us has a different favorite actor.
Which is your favorite Kurosawa actor?
Tatsuya Nakadai - Ran, Kagemusha, Yojimbo, Sanjuro, Heaven & Hell, etc.
Takashi Shimura - Rashomon, Seven Samurai, Ikiru, Yojimbo, etc.
Toshiro Mifune - Rashomon, Seven Samurai, Throne of Blood, Yojimbo, Sanjuro, Hidden Fortress, Heaven & Hell, Red Beard, etc.
I think all 3 are fantastic actors but my absolute favorite is Mifune.

They're all marvelous and quite different. I prefer the subtlety of Takashi Shimura.

- The only one I know, and I love his over-the-top antics. If he aint' screamin' and yellin', it ain't Toshiro Mifune.

Shimura - Ikiru is my favorite Kurosawa film and close to my favorite film period.

My answer may change once I see Ikiru, but Toshiro Mifune is a god among men.
