DVD quality or movie quality?
If it is a movie: Clerks.
A DVD: Mallrats: Collector's Edition (The commentary alone makes it worth the price of admission)
:D

Dogma - Many reasons, Matt Damon, Ben Affleck, George Carlin, Chris Rock, Linda Fiorentino, Salma Hayek, Alan Rickman all gave great performances.

I would say Clerks for the movie. It was Smith's first movie, and while it shows, the dialogue and many other things show his talent. Its also f'ing hilarious.

For the DVD, Dogma CE (not sure if its CE or SE). The church lady is hilarious on the menus, plus the movie is great in MANY ways.

I'm torn. Either J&SB or Dogma. Fully loaded to the max. Nooch.

Mallrats. Seeing how i was one of 4 people in the theatre opening night and was the only person laughing. Plus , im tired of people slaging it. How can you go wrong with Brodie's speech at the beginning :).

Movie - Jay and Bob (Mallrats right behind)

DVD - Dogma (better commentary than J&B, better extras/orginization than Mallrats)

I have gone through all the J&B extras and they are just a little off the previous work, though solid. The commentary is probably the weakest of all of Smith's films.

The Mallrats dvd with one of the funniest commentaries ever.

Who can forget such quotes as

"Phantoms Ben Affleck",

"There's Walt Flanagan!",

"Fargo! That won't make any money.", and my favorite

"Don't be looking for snow at the Eden Prairie Mall because that's where we are filming Jason Lee's Mallrats!"

I'm torn between MallRats and Clerks.

MallRats because:

"That damn kid is on the escalator again!"

Stink palm

Willam and the Sailboat

and so much more....

Clerks because:

I work in sales and I have felt exactly the same way Dante and Randall felt....usually everyday.

"Cancer merchant!"

"My love for you is ticking clock Berzerkerrrrrrr"

"I'm not even supposed to be here today!"

And so much more.

Clerks - The extras are damn solid (though not as good as the commentary from Mallrats) and the movie I just love!
