I watched the fast and the furious last night, again!, and when the film finnished i went out of the room and left the credits running, i came back about 2 minutes later and there was a short scene with vin disel's character in a car. It only lasts for about 20 seconds and seems really pointless.
My question is: why did they bother putting this in?

have any of you noticed this scene?

Why shouldn't they put it there? Lots of films have stuff like that after the credits. One of my fav's is Ferris Beulers Day Off....

The sequel is already in the works. Its based around pal walkers character. He gets fired as a cop and then tries to gain respect back working his way up the car scene.

I knew about the last scene when I went to watch this at the theatre so I waited until the end of the credits and the theatre lights came up and we got asked to leave. They cut that scene out at my local theatre. [IMG]
I should have complained that I didn't get to see the whole movie but I'm a crappy complainer in person. [IMG]
Some other good movies with extra scenes at the end.
    Plains Trains and Automobiles
    F/X 2
    Bean
    Wayne's World
    Lethal Weapon III

The best one is Scary Movie with Doofy trying to end his relationship with his "lover" to no avail.

And of course, The Muppet Movie.

Dave read some of the comments earlier in the thread. [IMG]
Vin Diesel does not want to be in a sequel because it is all the about the money....and apparently he wants millions more than they be offering. [IMG]

I think Vin Deisel is the next generation action megastar that will definately be deserving his paychecks...as long as he keeps picking good roles.

We were long over due for a replacement to Arnold, Stalone, Segal, etc. The guy just has that onscreen charisma. You can't help but like the guy. I just hope he continues to be a modest actor/person like he has shown in interviews and not become an egotistical Hollywood slime.

Stinks that he won't do Fast and the Furious 2 though. I wonder if he will still do Pitch Black 2.

Back to the off subject-subject of this thread. I feel sorry for anyone that left the theatre right when the credits started for Wildthings. Heck the credits show one final twist even.

The stuff during the credits or after the credits of some movies is pretty cool.
I think the coolest I have ever "seen" was what was at the very end of Star Wars: The Phantom Menace. It was after all the credits had ended. Those of you that know what I'm talking about, know what I'm talking about, and those of you that don't, don't. [IMG] I was a bit disappointed that Attack of the Clones didn't have anything like that (unless the movie theater I went to cut it out...).

Let's not forget "National Lampoon's Animal House" where the marching band is STILL in the alley walking into the wall.

Don't forget the scene at the end of the credits in each Austin Powers movie too. I wonder if they'll do it again for the third movie?
