I have a Kenwood demo disc of their soverign line, and they include some Faroudja demo tests. It says I should bring it to a Kenwood Soverign dealer to see how these demoes work, but i dont have a dealer nearby...

Can anybody explain how these demoes show off the faroudja's capabilities?

I only know the flag waving is to show the deinterlacing capability by not having jaggies on the stripes of the flag, but how about the others?

Off the top of my head, it has these demoes:
The cartoon image with the little guy in a hawaiian shirt and a suitcase?
    The pendulum thats says 'OK'?
The flashing lines that move back and forth?
The image of the house on the hill?
And the one with the restauraunt's patio?

    Thanks

I don't know about the Kenwood demo disc, but some of the tests you described resemble those used here. An interesting/informative read as well. (at Secrets ... DVD Benchmark)
