I watched Farewell, My Lovely on Blu-ray this afternoon. It looked very nice with only a bit of damage along the left side at one spot late in the movie. Otherwise, it was a pleasure to view. 1.78:1 aspect ratio. Love this version of the story.

I'll watch The Big Sleep tomorrow. Glad to be able to give away my DVDs of these movies.

I watched The Big Sleep this afternoon. Moving everything to London and setting it in present day, all of the murky atmosphere and tension is lost, but I do have to say that the mystery plot is made clearer here than in the Bogie version, and boy does this have a powerhouse cast of stars and famous faces! I'm happy to have it on Blu-ray looking this good.

Glad to be rid of the DVD.
