I'm interested in getting the Zenith C27V36 27" Direct View HDTV-Ready TV.

    I noticed that it has...

I currently have a Toshiba SD-3800 dvd player. If I get this set should I let the set do the interlacing? Kinda confused. THANKS!

You will probably notice the HDTV with the Faroudja does the best job, but try both 480i and 480p from your player for sure.

I've noticed that progessive mode from my dvd player(Toshiba SD-3800) looks better then when it's set to interlaced.

This is with the Zenith HDTV(C27V36) set to 16:9 mode.

Is it better to let the TV do the converting or the dvd player?

    THANKS!

Yes since the Toshiba has a poor de-interlacer your TV's de-interlacer is probably better. Only a Faroudja-based DVD player is superior. You might as well just use interlaced mode with that Toshiba - if you want high quality upgrade the player to a Faroudja-based model.

So should I change my dvd players setting from 16:9 to 4:3? I'm pretty confused on this.

    THANKS>
