    DVDfile mentions that Far from the Madding Crowd has jsut been announced for uk. It says widescreen but MONO (which can't be right)

    anyone know if Mading Crowd is also planned for R1 this yr?
    i've been wanting to see this film for quite a while now .

    I sure hope Warners is reading this and will release FFTMC in Region 1. I saw the film in New York when it opened in 70mm and 6 track stereo. I sure hope Warners does not botch this up and release it in mono. Also the running time says 160, when actually it is 170.

    Thats the wrong version. The one from Warners is with Julie Christie, Terrance Stamp, Alan Bates and Peter Finch. The release has been pushed back until August according to "Sendit.com"
