7 1st and 2nd party XBOX games have been shown and they have some of the best graphics I have seen on the machine..
Here is a thread on the TEAMXBOX forum that has the shots:

All the shots are real-time btw...
That mouse game looks closer to toy story graphics than anything else I have ever seen and that racing game with the Camaro looks badass as well!

There are also shots of Halo, Project Gotham and Amped...
OT: Hey brian, what are your opinion on the performance and ablities of the MCPX....
Is there anything you can say about DICE latancy?
Think it will be a problem in games?
I heard than in addition to encoding Dolby Digital in realtime, the MCPX accelerates the encoding process as well, reducing latancy....true?

The second DSP in the MCP is responsible for Dolby Digital encoding - the *only* thing a programmer has to do in order to enable Dolby Digital output is add
"lpds->SetSpeakerConfig(DSS_SPEAKER_5POINT1)"
at the start of the program (that may not be 100% accurate, since it's from memory, and the XDK renamed a lot of enumerants and entry points).
I haven't noticed any latency off of nForce-D motherboards, which should carry over perfectly to the Xbox. Roundtrip latency is

Without a performance hit that the user can detect?
Not a troll, just curious.

Nope. Absolutely zero performance hit. The MCP has a dedicated unit to encode Dolby Digital audio.

Dean-
Wow. That picture looks amazing. Unfortunately, I see that it looks a little two dimensional and the shadows seem kinda fake. It might be because its an incomplete game or something, but nonetheless, it does look a little too artificial. Still excellent, and will probably blow my mind.

I'm surprised that didn't turn into, "Gamecube would have done it better and loaded it faster..."

Morgan I see your point, well with the cop cars anyway. That camaro though looks like the real deal to me. I really want to see more of this game!
Edit: Now that there are high res shots you can see that Gary was right, it is a intentional style to show depth to the picture. Fantastic!

Edit: Hmm I just noticed the format of the Chase screen shots. Wide screen, maybe this is a first glimpse of what HD gaming is going to look like...

Dean-
The pics you posted are fantastic! If the XB can make games look like this and play in my home, then I will get it sooner than I thought (unless these games won't be out for a while). All thats left is to see how they play.
The other pics with the car chase stuff didn't have very good depth perception (to me) because the things that shouldn't have been in focus were in focus and the view was pretty close to the ground. Move the camera up and make only the main car in focus and I probably would have liked it more. Its still amazing looking and I'm impressed.

I'm eagerly anticipating the XBOX, but the first screenshot on Link Removed really looks like it has been through Photoshop. The smoke and fire looks just wrong. Either that or the game just has really bad looking smoke and fire.

It could be that they just haven't really finalized the fire yet. That should be really simple to do with the fog effects the Xbox has just to be a place holder. Hard to tell this early, I'll sure be watching for more info on this game though :) I agree with you Morgan screen shots are only skin deep, a movie would be much better to get an idea on the gameplay and even then its not really all that accurate either.
