Family Ties: Feeling Nostalgic (1 Viewer)

I've been watching several episodes of Family Ties on Nick-at-Nite the last several evenings. I hadn't seen any in years and had forgotten just what a well-written show it was. It could deftly handle serious and touching storylines, as well as ones that were hilarious. I know it was Michael J. Fox's show, but Michael Gross was hilarious as his straight-laced father. Did he ever win an Emmy during the show's run?
I wish Nickelodeon would air the show more often. Who owns the rights to the series? If studios ever start to regularly release sitcoms on DVD, my vote is in for this show.

This is my favorite all-time TV show.
I agree that Michael Gross is hilarious, especially with his body and facial expressions.
You can also watch two back-to-back episodes weekly on TBS some time between Friday night and Saturday morning (I use Tivo to record them).
