I was surprised to see that both Family Guy and The Simpsons got Emmy nominations today for:
Music and Lyrics: "A Mackie Rag" (The Carol Burnett Show "Show Stoppers"), CBS; "I Wish Every Day Could Be Christmas" (The Fairly OddParents), Nickelodeon; "You've Got a Lot to See" (Family Guy), Fox; "The Best Kind of Answer" (Judging Amy), CBS; "Ode to Branson" (The Simpsons), Fox
Is this the first time for this category? Anyone know?

Yet not Buffy, the series that put together an entire musical episode.

    Let's hear it for justice!

But "You've Got A Lot To See" was a pretty darn clever song, as was the song from the episode where Stewie and Brian went to Europe.

Part of me is siding with Jeff on this, but I'm used to seeing stuff that I really like get slighted in the awards shows. (Frickin' PHIL COLLINS beats out Aimee Mann?)
