Family Guy season 1 had something like 8 episodes. I guess it's not by airdate, but by production order.

These have already been released in Europe. Are there any different features between them?

Awesome! I'm so stoked. The Family Guy never fails to make me laugh.

I, too, would welcome more descriptions as to actual episode contents. A 4-disc set? That would be akin to the Simpsons Season 2 release, which had 22 episodes, give or take. Will that be the case here?

    2003 is looking great.

"4 discs with 8 episodes? What is this, Columbia House? "

    WHOOOPS!!!
For anyone else just scanning the thread, the episodes listed are the ones with the audio commentaries. I just realized my mistake and am removing my idiotic post.

Now the question is, are these just the first 2 seasons, with the last 1 coming later?

    Thanks Fox!

Here is a list of all the Family Guy episodes that were produced:

    Season 1
    FG-101: Death has a Shadow
FG-102: I Never Met the Dead Man
    FG-103: Mind Over Murder
    FG-104: Chitty Chitty Death Bang
FG-105: A Hero Sits Next Door
    FG-106: The Son Also Draws
FG-107: Brian: Portrait of a Dog

These were the first ones to air. After these 7 I think the show was moved around some or went on break. Also, the production order is not the same as the air order.

    FG-108: Peter, Peter Caviar Eater
    FG-109: Running Mates
    FG-110: There's Something about Paulie
    FG-111: Holy Crap
    FG-112: If I'm Dying, I'm Lying
    FG-113: Love Thy Trophy
    FG-114: Death is a Bitch
    FG-115: The King is Dead

Then I think after this Season the show went on another break.

    Season 2
    FG-201: Brian in Love
FG-202: I Am Peter, Hear Me Roar
FG-203: A Very Special Family Guy Freakin' X-Mas (Aired much later than other episodes)
FG-204: Let's Go to the Hop
FG-205: When you Wish Upon a Weinstein (unaired, apparantly this will be on the R1 DVD release)
    FG-206: DaBoom
    FG-207: A Picture is Worth 1,000 Bucks
    FG-208: Fifteen Minutes of Shame
    FG-209: Dammit Janet
FG-210: He's Too Sexy for his Fat
FG-211: Mr. Griffen Goes to Washington
    FG-212: Road to Rhode Island
    FG-213: E. Peterbus Unum
FG-214: The Story on Page One
    FG-215: Wasted Talent
    FG-216: Fore Father

I'm guessing this will be where the first DVD is done. Because the next episode didn't air for months. If that's the case I'd be perfectly happy with the set.

    FG-217: The Thin White Line
    FG-218: Lethel Weapons
FG-219: One if By Clam, Two if by Sea
    FG-220: Brian Does Hollywood
    FG-221: Death Lives
    FG-222: And the Weiner Is...

Again, the show went on hiatus until sometime last year when it came back. These were the episodes we got to see.

    Season 3:
    FG-301: Emission Impossible
FG-302: The Kiss Seen Around the World
FG-303: Brian Wallows and Peter Swallows
    FG-304: Mr. Saturday Knight
FG-305: A Fish Out of Water
FG-306: Peter Griffen, Husband, Father... Brother?
    FG-307: Ready, Willing, and Disabled
    FG-308: Screwed the Pooch
FG-309: To Live and Die in Dixie
    FG-310: Stuck Together, Torn Apart
    FG-311: From Method to Madness
FG-312: Family Guy Viewer Mail #1
    FG-313: European Road Show

    13 + 22 + 15 = 50 Episodes Total

The seasons really didn't flow like normal seasons either, it was running new shows in the summer and really jumping around the time slot. But finally! Hopefully we will also get the Osama seen uncut from Road to Rhode Island.

Definitely worth a rental to anyone who hasn't seen this show, but enjoys Simpsons, South Park, Futurama, SeaLab... lots of randomness and some episodes even reference back to others.

Any idea if the packaging on Futurama will be the same as R2? And Peter Staddon mentioned in the chat problems with the commentaries. Does this just mean the standard warning "The opinions expressed..." or is that why there are so few commentaries on the set?
