I'm looking for a program out there that can extract the audio from a video mpeg2 file. Perhaps saving it as wav or mp3 file for editing. Audacity can do it but the file has glitches in it and is unusable. In case you're wondering these are personal files and not files ripped from dvds. Just need to do some simple audio editing. Anything out there?

Have you tried nandub?
I dont have enough posts to post url, do a search for nandub on google.

1. Open nandub
2. Click File, open video, open your mpeg.
3. Click File, save wav.

winamp can do this, use the disk writer plugin. just make sure not to keep the disk writer plugin active, or all every mp3 you play will be extracted into wav instead of playing.
