External 5.1 Soundblaster announced! (1 Viewer)

I have been searching for something like this to add 5.1 to my computer/gaming setup in my computer room. It is supposed to ship this month for around $150. It will work as a stand alone 5.1 decoder as well. So cool!

I wonder what the CPU utilization is like via the USB port? I'd hold off on buying until I learned that important answer.

yes it's via USB Port. If you go to either soundblaster.com or creativelabs.com you can find the external decoder being advertised.

I agree with Camp, wait until you see what the CPU utilization will be. I bet it will be high. Why not just get the internal version?
