What price range are you interested in for speakers?

I would say approximately $1000. I was looking at the SVS Primes, Emotiva T1, ELAC Debut 2.0 F6.2, DefTechs BP9040, Pioneer Elite AJ SP-EFS73. I just need to find a set that will match with my DefTech center.

Maybe you should find the speakers you like the best, then take it from there, rather than having the entire system influenced by one speaker that you already have, and can be replaced if needed.

That sounds like a practical approach. I've always used satellites not towers, so it will be interesting to hear the difference. I will definitely do my research prior to making a decision.
