    Hi,

I wanted to post some Excel charts displaying SPL response curves for my SVS 16-46PC and Polk 650 subs. . . I tried to copy and paste to this window, but that doesnt work, how does one do this?

    Thanks!

    Gomez,
I think you have to upload your jpg's to a website and then furnish the link in your msg. You can use the IMG button (visible when you reply) to import the link.
But the key is to setup your own web page (or ask someone else if you can use some space on theirs) and upload there first. That's my understanding.
Note that I'm new to this and tried to do it using GeoCities and have not had good results. I'd like to think the problem is GC. [IMG]

Adding to what Rick said, as long as you have web space on a server (and there are many free ones), you can add the url of your diagram file(s) via the IMG tag. You don't even have to build a web page on the site that includes the diagram; just upload the diagram to a directory on the web site.

-ok, that helps, but can you suggest a site that provides FREE web space?

    Thanks!

Angelfire is great. 50megs, and it's free. There is a bandwidth limit, I think.

when I click on my above link I get this from ANGELFire:

"Angelfire does not allow direct linking

    from offsite, non-Angelfire pages,

    to files hosted on Angelfire.

This practice of 'remote linking' reduces

our ability to serve out the homepages

of our members quickly and efficiently"

So then, how can I show my charts so that others can see them. I'm new to this stuff, any help would be appreciated.

    Gomez,

Good question.. and I believe it's the same problem I run into with GeoCities.

I can probably put something up on my RoadRunner site.. but haven't had time to play with that yet.

    Hi Mike,

Yes, that part I was aware of, the problem I have is that when I post the link here, when you click on it the web site says it doesn't allow for "remote" links, so, I was wondering if there was some other way to make my excel graphs viewable to forum memebers directly off this post

    Thanks

    Gomez,
What kind of net connection do you have? I ask because most broadband connections come with free web space. Check out the link in my sig...I set that up using my free space with the account...over 1000 hits and I have never gone over my bandwidth limit...
If you wish, e-mail me the xls and I'll put it on my site.

    Gomez,

There is a “Test Area” for this kind of stuff – go back to the main page and scroll wa-a-a-y down to the bottom.

    Guys,
Thank you so much for the advice , let me try a couple more times and play around with some things. Sonnie, I'll e-mail you the work book if all else fails - Sean, shamefully, I don't have a PC at home, so when things are slow here at work, I get on the net - I'm hooked to my company's lan (don't use analog modem)
Anyway, I succesfully posted the data on a free web site, but come to find that that web site will not allow 'remote" linking, so I'll try tripod and see if they allow that
I had fun plotting my response curves and want to share them with others and get some feed back - my BFD is in transit, should get it this weekend or early nexy week.
I'll let you know how this goes [IMG]
