Two new items for your amusement today: The date these come out now looks like this for TV-on-DVD releases ( [IMG] ):
(Of course, this is the week prior to South Park: Season 1 and the week after both Malcom In The Middle: Season 1 *and* War And Remembrance!)
Cover art for Spongebob isn't available yet, but here is Blue's Clues:

Also, courtesy of TVShowsOnDVD.com (where all cover art will be posted a day or two after Gord's return from a trip), we can now present all 7 seasonal box sets from Star Trek: The Next Generation. Click here to see it (it's a smallish file size - 130K - but the resolution is 1280x1024!).
Save those pennies for November, guys! [IMG]

Don't forget the first half of Transformers Season Two also. It hasn't been announced yet but rumor has it that Nov. 12 is the date.

Our house has been Blue's Clues-free since Steve pulled a Shelly Long/ David Caruso and Joe replaced him. [IMG]
Thank goodness I recorded a bunch of "Steve" episodes for the kids to watch.

My two year old loves both of them, since she sees both via Tivo. She watched it enough prior to joe, but once joe became regular, she got more active and involved in the show. Personally, Steve creeps me out, so I like joe. [IMG]

While I respect Steve wanting to leave (the quote I heard was that he "didn't want to become Krusty the Clown in front of the entire nation..."), I just think Joe lacks Steve's ability to dead pan about the absurdity of the show, keeping it "grounded" for the adults who had to watch it as well.

Both my wife and I couldn't stand more than 5 minutes of Joe. He came off as a cross between the desperate kid in elementary school who would do anything to get people to like him, and some of my wife's friends who always act "cheerful", but are on anti-depressant cocktails.

But to each their own. I'm glad he hasn't ruined the show for everybody.
