I can't stop!

Master of the hallucinatory epic...

The Rainbow Thief (1990)
Santa sangre (1989)
Tusk (1980)
The Holy Mountain (1973)
... aka Montaña sagrada, La (Mexico)
... aka The Sacred Mountain (reissue title)
Topo, El (1970)
... aka The Gopher
... aka The Mole
Fando y Lis (1967) (as Alexandro Jodorowsky)
... aka Fando and Lis (USA)
... aka Fando and Lis: Tar Babies
Têtes interverties, Les (1957)
... aka The Severed Head
... aka The Severed Heads (International: English title)

Rank 'em, rate 'em, or just say you've never heard of him.

Jodorowsky seems to have a couple of projects in the pipeline; hope they come to fruition.

2. El Topo - B

3. The Holy Mountain - B-
4. Fando y Lis - F (sort of like watching a visual rendition of Cartman's take on the Aristocrats joke)

No, Jodorowsky would definitely be the Anti-George.

Started out on the journey of Santa Sangre last year, but, regretfully, there was no LSD in the house.

I'll try it again.

Bummer!!

You need to talk to this a-hole "friend" of yours and demand that he send you 12 of the very best, most rare, most bizarre, most esoteric DVDs from his collection, completely free and with no strings attached!

PRONTO!!

In order of merit:

1.El Topo (1971) ***
2.Santa Sangre (1989) **1/2
3.The Holy Mountain (1973) **
4.Fando & Lis (1967) **

While I find amusing ingredients in every one of his films, I'm not a fan of Jodorowsky's work because I tend to find his brand of surrealism (as well as that of Fernando Arrabal and Juan Lopez Moctezuma, all of whom had collaborated together in the "Panic Theater" movement) heavy-going and, frankly, emetic:D.

added Têtes interverties, Les (1957) - 7/10 (a.k.a. La Cravate)

I'm really going to try to keep an open mind about watching Fando y Lis again. And I suspect that I'll like Holy Mountain (which I already had mixed feelings about) a lot more in its proper presentation and not a godawful bootleg.
