I see alot of people posting Etronics price quotes and then to take them to sears to price match...only problem is that sears will add shipping and I live near etronics retail location...is this company good or do they just offer good price match fodder. Would love to pick up the Kenwood 504 for $370 AND no shipping

Other than Denon (and I believe Onkyo), are they authorized dealers of what they sell? I am looking into the H/K 520 and they have they lowest price I have found yet. However, I can not find anything that specifically states that they are indeed authorized dealers of the manufacturers they list. Any help would be appreciated.

etronics is a class act. prompt shipment, and in my case, (not their fault), prompt processing of a return.

I would say take the subway and go down there. I've been there a few times and the people are very pleasant to deal with. Most of the stuff they sell, they have there on site. The store front is a bit small but they had the speakers I came for. They even loaned me a dolly because my car was parked a few blocks away. How often does that happen in The City? :) There appears to be a small warehouse in the back. I paid the internet price and walked out. I believe it is owned by a couple of Jewish brothers so they were closed on Friday after 2 pm and all day Saturday. I recommend them highly. Much better than J and R (I hate that place).

Butch,

I have purchased DVD players from Etronics in the past as I work near them and have been to their store front in NYC.

I have dealt with Elliot over there and he is extremely helpful, honest and most courteous. Everything is absolutely as advertised, no punches pulled there. As has been stated, they are a class act... buy with confidence!

Regards,

Glenn

Probably a good dealer but I sent them this email an hour ago.

I am inquiring about order #xxxxxx, that was submitted on 12/7/01. I have checked all week on the website for this order status. I called on 12/13, Thursday morning wondering what the hold up was, I was informed that Etronics was waiting on a shipment of DVD players and that was holding my order up, and that it would be shipped on 12/13 or 12/14. Later Thursday I received the DVD player and then I was utterly confused. I then called back and was told that the DVD player was shipped from the Phoenix warehouse and that Etronics is actually waiting on the Yamaha receiver, and supposedly it was due in on 12/13 on would ship 12/13 or 12/14. I have checked the website and still no shipping #. When I bought these items I looked to see if they were in stock, all of them were, if it was not I would have selected another item as I needed these things before x-mas, they are all gifts. I even told the service representative that I would pick another receiver in order to get the order completed but was told that was not necessary as the shipment would be in Thursday.

I am just trying to get this order before x-mas, I ordered it on the 7th with no worry that 17 days wouldn't be enough to get the order. If it ships Monday the 17th I have serious doubt that it will make it here by the 24th. Please look into this as soon as possible so I know when the items will be shipped or if it will be to late so that I can make other arrangements.

ETronics is >not< an authorized Onkyo dealer. I talked to an Onkyo service center technician and he said they would NOT service the unit if it was purchased from there.

You would have to send it to ETronics.

The salesman I spoke to at ETronics (chatted actually) outright lied about it, and said they were authorized. When I pointed out that Onkyo said they weren't, he got irate and said it didn't matter anyway.

I ended up getting my current Onkyo from OneCall (who is an authorized internet dealer).
