Anyone here tried ESPN NBA Basketball for Xbox in 720p? Unfortunately, my hdtv only supports 1080i. I'm currently playing it in 480p and I'm noticing a lot of jaggies and pixelation on the polygon edges. Does the 720p mode still have these jagged edges or is the game still running at the same low resolution?

Tony, I have played ESPN in 720p and it has zero jaggies. The PQ is stunning in 720p.

A few poeple have said it runs a lot choppier in 720p though.

Troy_M, would you be so kind as to try it out in 480p and see if you still feel that the game looks good? Perhaps your idea of jaggies is different from mine.

I might've exagerated somewhat when I remarked on the jaggedness and pixelation in 480p, because it looks pretty good. I do notice some pixelation at times though, as I do in every Xbox game.

I will do that, I haven't tried it in 480p, so I am interested in seeing what it looks like.

Whoa! My eyes have been opened....480p mode is packed with jaggies....dang! 720p contains no jaggies at all. But if it makes you feel any better, the frame rate is slighty sacrificed for the 720p mode. It wasn't as smooth in 720p as in 480p, but I will take no jaggies anyday over the framerate.
