I didn't see the ABC announcement, just the ESPN announcement as posted right here.

My local ABC says they plan to have DTV by the end of the year.

This is really great news. I'm dying to get NFL football in HD!! Right now since I am very rural I just get CBS East HD feed through DISH Network. I wonder if ABC HD programming will be available through waiver to DISH customers?? And I sure hope ESPN will be.

This is awesome news. I can't wait to actually see all of the fumbles and interceptions committed by the Cowboys next season.

So where does that leave me with My Mits 65" that does 480P and 1080I? And my RCA DTC 100. I smell I might be out of Luck.

I used to have a DTC-100, and it converted 720p broadcasts to 1080i automatically. Results can be very good but will never look as good as 720p on a 720p set. But you'll know it is HD, and you will most certainly like it.

It also always converts 480i/480p to 540p, which is not necessarily great on all setups.

You'll have no problem with ESPN.
