Anyone have any comments on this Don Siegel/Clint Eastwood movie?

Can pick this up for about $12 but want to know what the tranfer is like? Anamorphic? 5.1 sound?

It's a non-anamorphic transfer that retains the original 1.85:1 framing and looks OK on my 27" Wega. Sound is Dolby Digital mono, comparable to the theatrical release so far as I know. With minimal likelihood of an SE on the horizon I'd say go for it.

On my 61" display, it looks fair, especially considering it's age. For some reason, I really don't think this will get released again anytime soon. It is OAR and I would recommend buying it.

Funny, this was one of the Paramount HDTV packages they sent out to their affiliates. I got to see this about 6mos ago in 1080i, OAR and it looked and sounded pretty good.

So there must be a better quality source.
