Man...I didn't read your post all the way through before I went to davidlynch.com. I didn't realize that they finally had I Don't Know Jack too!

What a day.

75 shipped is so expensive, but I'm sure it will be worth it.

Thanks for the heads up. Despite the outrageous prices, I gotta have Eraserhead! I just bought it, and the short films DVD. Don't Know Jack was tempting, but maybe some other time.

Anyone know what the "plus extras" are?

$75 shipped?? Really!??

Count me out... unless it ships with a bar of gold.

I don't suppose it'll be available for rental anywhere... I guess I really didn't want to see Eraserhead after all. :frowning:

Ike's right, I was talking about my entire order. Eraserhead alone is 40 + shipping.

...still expensive, but if you love the movie then it's pretty insignificant.

I see.

Well I went to davidlynch.com and after waiting 2.5 minutes for the Flash-only store to load (over DSL no less), Eraserhead with shipping comes to $48.94. I'm afraid that unless a money tree sprouts in my back yard, that's still more than twice what I could begin to justify spending on a DVD :frowning: Oh well...

I cant find any yardwork or houspainting to do while waiting for the site to load.
At $49 total for ERASERHEAD, I would have to know about the transfer and extras- otherwise, Ill keep my quite adequate WS LD...

Umm, I would not recommend buying Eraserhead sight unseen to ANYONE. It's very much a "love it or hate it" kind of movie. Definitely rent it first.... on VHS if you have to.

If you already own the LD, than I wouldn't worry about the DVD until reviews come out. I on the other hand, don't own the LD, so the DVD is a reletively sound purchase.

Dave,
Of course it is all a matter of perspective...that's whay I said if you love the movie.

There are no details listed regarding aspect ratio. Does anyone know if it's full-frame or if it's anamorphic widescreen? (There seemed to be some debate on this issue a number of months ago.)

I'm buying it sight unseen cause I love David Lynch. $48 is a lot, but Lynch is getting to do it his way. Bring it on!

Looks like I am going to have to wait 5 years to buy a copy.

What a joke!

It least it gives me time to save up for a copy. :frowning:

$50 is a bit steep, but seeing as how Lynch worked on this personally... it's a bargain.

Now to wait for Wild at Heart!

$40 plus? I want the film...but sorry, that's a bit steep even for, say, a Criterion single disc. I'll wait.
