Of all the TV shows, there's only one I'd love to own in its entirety.... ER. It also seems like an obvious choice for a series by series DVD release. Anybody have any news on such a release? Can we expect WB to start releasing seasons in the next year?

Any news would be cool!

As one of the two TVShowsOnDVD.com guys (Gord Lacey is the other (and chief) one), I can say I frankly haven't even heard of a credible rumor.
Mayby Jeff Kleist or one of the other guys has heard of something. I dunno.
To speculate, I think this is one of those properties that is feverishly being worked on in secret. Why in secret? Because there is just no need to get anyone excited about this prospect until something is signed and announced. Rampant public interest being well-known is likely to hurt somebody's negotiating tactics, money-wise! :D

Not to mention ER is on so many channels in syndication. Here in NYC Its first run is on NBC 4, syndicated on ABC 7 here late at night, its on TNT all the time during the day and night. Maybe they have to wait for some of these contracts to run out

Hi

It's also available on DVD over there, but Japan+DVD=waay expensive. :frowning:
And I don't really wanna spend a lot of money on something that might eventually get a better (and cheaper) R1 release. I already did that with Friends and once is enough.

I did hear late 2003 somewhere

You can buy up to season 6 on DVD in Japan, but it's about $300/season

Well, the yen used to be worth a lot less (200+:$1US), nowadays it's around 120/$1US. So that's quite a markup through exchange rate alone.
