I thought this was the best episode of ER that I have seen in a long time. It will keep me watching what I considered to be an "ailing series" a bit longer.
As a huge fan of Memento, I loved the format. I enjoy the challenge of piecing the threads together rather than sitting and watching another show numbingly. I also think they did a few creative things with the "backward" format, such as making us wonder what may / may not have gone on between Harkins and Luka.

You are correct that there was a backward Seinfeld. I believe it was the one about the wedding in India.
