Bought a new Epson LS11000 projector. Try to hook it up with my NAD T775 Receiver. Epson somehow keeps on showing no signal received. I hooked the projector with the Mac Laptop through the same HDMI cable, it works so it is not the cable problem. I thought it may be the HDMI output of the T775 but Epson can show the NAD's OSD on the screen. It means that the HDMI out of the receiver can send the signal to the projector but somehow it cannot pick up Roku and DVD player signals. I thought I may need to upgrade the fireware of the receiver but I cannot find any USB port to connect my laptop. It only has a RS232 port but my PC does not even have a RS232 port. I hope someone can give me some suggestions?

So, if I understood correctly you have connected a Mac Laptop to the projector via the HDMI cable you are using from the NAD and verified imagery is present which confirms the cable is okay.

I would suggest performing the same type of test using your DVD player and then the Roku to verify the projector can display the signals output from those devices (Testing each device one at a time.) Effectively bypassing the NAD.

If the DVD and Roku display okay then there is something going on between the NAD and the EPSON.

If the DVD and Roku do not display imagery then perhaps there is an input setup on the EPSON that needs to be adjusted.

I don't own your projector or receiver, so that is about all I can offer. Best of luck.

It’s a 2010 receiver that only supports HDMI v1.3. I suspect the LS11000 needs a more recent protocol connect to sync with the receiver.

If there’s a firmware update for it from the past 15 years to update its HDMI, you could try that. If firmware is applied by RS232, you need a some dongles to go from USB to RS232.

Or it might be easier to buy a newer receiver.
