I doubt that "Lilo and Stitch" will be released this year. I can't think of any major Disney movie with that quick of a video release, "Monsters Inc" as a recent example will be over 8 months. The summer Disney movies have traditionally gotten released the following February for as long as I can remember, and I think the current movie will do the same.

Why was the quality, which should have been the absolute best to date (live action), so poor?

While I agree the disc should have been reference quality as there were a couple issues with it, was TPM really "poor"? I thought it was still a good looking DVD. I would rate it at least B+ video quality, overall. The colors and blacks were outstanding. On my 61" set, I didn't find the EE that bad (worse on Tombstone, and FAR, FAR worse on Die Hard III - THX version).

On any rate, I do suspect AOTC will look even better.
