Hello Folks,

I am going to be buying a 60" HDTV shortly and I need to have a place to put it and the associated electronic gear. The HDTV will be a Sony 60A2000 weighing about 80 lbs.

I need an entertainement center that:

• Is symetrical
• Has a shelf centered below the TV for a center channel speaker
• Has sufficient shelves above the TV to hold the electronics
• Has an open back to allow easy access to wiring

Does anyone know a good place to buy something like this or know where to find plans to build one? I have sketched out plans on paper, but I have no idea of how it will hold up.

Any Local custom cabinet maker could make this very easily for you with just a rough design. I have several good guys in my network that can make just about any cabinet/entertainment center for far less then you can buy a premade unit and it will fit you space better then any premade unit.

Check you local yellow pages or local builders/remodeling companies and get a few free estimates. You'll be amazed at the cost. It's very affordable.
