I have an entertainment center(2 columns w/ a bridge)that will go with my "in the near future" widescreen.

After adding the width of the columns and HDTV I'll have about 16" left on each side between the columns and wall for my front speakers.

My speakers are basic Kenwoods that came with a HTIB. They're about 7" wide.

My question is will this tight space have any adverse affect on the sound

Tight constraints aren't the best situation but home theater is usually a bunch of compromises. Try to bring the front of your speakers out past the front of the cabinets to allow sound to flow with the least restriction and reflection.

Terry,

Thanks for the suggestion. Maybe I'll see if I can do a little furniture re-arranging to accomodate the speakers a little farther out.

I appreciate the reply.
