Energy XL series (1 Viewer)

I am looking at the following speaker set-up for my first surround.


Energy XL 250 (front)
Energy XL 150 (rear - surround)
Energy CL C-100 (center)

no subwoffer at the moment.

Everyting will be hooked up to Onkyo 600 (or maybe Yamaha 630; not decided yet)


What are your expiriences with this speaker setup? Can you suggest me something else in the same price range? It will be used for both music and movies.

Amazing, someone else who wants to give credit to Energy for their fine products. I'm runnin the e-xl series across the front with a cheap rears and sub along with the Onk600.Still breaking in the 600 but like what I've heard so far. Been using Energy for a while and am very satisfied.

not sure how the xl series sounds, but i just bought a nice energy conn set-up 2 weeks ago (c-7's, c-c1, c-r2's) and i love them. i'd say just see what u can find around u to listen to and see what u like best not sure how much more the conn series is than the xl but if u can afford them give em a try
