Ok here is the deal. I am about 97% done with my home theater as if you could ever really be done. I am running a Kenwood reciever and a panasonic progressive scan dvd player for audio and video. For my picture I am using a Sony vpl-vw11ht projector. My speakers are all Energy e:XL's . My fronts are e:XL 16's, my rears are e:XL 15's and I am using a e:XL C for my center. I have the oppurtunity to purchase a set of e:XL 25's to use as my fronts. If I buy these I was going to move my 16's to the rear and use one of the 15's for a 6.1 set-up. My room is approx. 18ft long by 10.5 ft wide. Does anybody have these speakers or this speaker set-up? What are your thoughts on these speakers (e:XL 25) and on how this set-up would sound. The energy set-up I currently has sounds awesome. So I figure these tower speakers would sound even better. If I get them I'm hoping to pay around $300 plus shipping for the pair. I am also looking at replacing the Kenwood with a Denon 3803.

Hey Brandon-
Yet another enthusiast satisfied with Energy speakers. I'm currently running exl 15's and the exl c in my 5.1 set up. My room is 12 x 15. Two words, love it! exl 25's sound intriguing but would suggest you allow your ears to be your biggest/best judge. Keep in mind that size doesn't always matter.

Hi Brandon,
I have the Xl:26's for the mains and the little Take 2's for the center and surrounds. The 26's are similar to the 25's I think the woofers are a little smaller in the 25's. Anyway, for my 16 x 20 room they sound great and have very nice soundstage. I think you will like them, but as always, listen to them for yourself.

I have always liked the Energy brand of speakers and my son has the RVS LCR and I have the Veritas. Years ago when I first became aware of Energy's, I listened to the e:xl line and also the Conn line and was very impressed with Energy as they were the closest thing to my old JBL L100 that has set a fairly high benchmark for me and my listening preferences.

To me the e:xl line represents a great value and still get the Energy sound. Just remember my sig....LOL
