I have a set of mint Energy speaker stands, black in color, that I have used for approximately 5 months.
They are the Energy sst-2234 speaker stands, and they cost me $130. They are metal, adjustable to seven different heights in 2" increments between 22" and 34"; the posts are fillable with sand for extra mass, and they come with spikes for leveling and carpet. Very high quality stands. I had to do a lot of searching for a high quality adjustable staqnd. You can see them here:
