Edgar Martinez annouced his retirment. The last tie to the group that put baseball on the map up there and built that stadium.

Come on! they'll set a new era with Bucky Jacobsen and all the other 1b-DH's they seem to have on that team now...

How many errors does Leone have at 3rd by now?

I think this will be the last year I'll really follow the Mariners. I just can't invest the time waiting for another decent team; since the '95 season, the 116 season, and it's all gone downhill.

the speed of their freefall is what gets me the most. One can only wonder if Howard Lincoln had opened the purse a little at the last five trade deadlines what could have been. Lets hope Bavasi has a plan. Mariner fan has been hearing about all these great arms for a few years lets see if their scouts were right.

This has been a dismal, disappointing year all around for the team. I think Melvin might be unemployed this year.
