Sweetness! I just picked up the current edition a couple of months ago and I expected this, cause whenever I pick up an older disc, it always get a SE two months later. [IMG]

I love this show! I've had the current disc since it released. Can't wait to see what they can do with the transfer.

Last time I checked, Empire Records was a scope (2.35:1) film. Hopefully DVD File just put 1.85:1 as a mistake. It'll be mine when it is released in June (why so far away?). I just wish Warner would also include the theatrical release along with this new director's cut like DreamWorks with Almost Famous.

    It is 2.35:1

By the way, expect to see Tobey Maguire's deleted role restored in this new cut.

I quite enjoyed this film when I saw it on cable a year or so ago. I think an extended cut SE is warranted. I can't wait to see the results.

Can we get a new SE of New Waterford Girl now? Moyle outdid himself on that one, eh.

I might consider buying this, but it would be a must-buy if the theatrical cut were included in addition to the new cut. All they would have to do is slap the existing disc in a "Citizen Kane"-style double case, and they could even rip off the "Almost Famous" bootleg DVD packaging. Anchor Bay already ripped it off with their "Army of Darkness" bootleg director's cut, so I guess it's fair game [IMG]

Maybe brown paper bags have not been copyrighted?
Funny thing, boot's never came in brown bags. Not that I would know about that!
Only vinyl I ever saw in a BPB, was Patti Smith 12".
A Patti Smith 12", now that is really a different story.

I can't wait to see this director's cut. Infact I just watched the original and man I remember every line of dialogue.

It's an underated gem of a film.

I love this movie, and have the current edition. A fun game to play while watching the movie is to take note of everyone that's in the back-room in any given scene. A couple of times, you'll find yourself wondering who's minding the register.
