Emmanuelle, why pan and scan? (1 Viewer)

Just wondering, if the Emmanuelle films were to be re-released in widescreen, what aspect ratio would they be in? Does anyone know anything on why these films did not get any justice?!

IMDb states that it was 2.35:1, but it has been wrong in the past.
And it may have caved under the maximum sell posture to be P&S only.
