the noted TV Western "Have Gun, Will Travel".

The information can be found at this URL: http://movies.msn.com/movies/article...25323&GT1=7701

I've never seen the show, but I can't help but feel that this show doesn't need to be turned into a movie.

    Sincerely,

    John Kilduff...

    Any thoughts, guys?

The concept could lend itself nicely to a movie, but I wouldn't have much faith in it in today's Hollywood. In any case, I will have a knee-jerk "never going to see it" reaction if Mathers is really going to star.

The only similarity between the show and movie will be the title. Which begs the question, why not just give it another name? It's not like 'Have Gun, Will Travel' is a well known property among the people that the movie is targeted at. And it's probably fair to say that ALOT of the people who are fans of the show will refuse to see the movie because Eminem is in it. So (once again) what's the point of even using that title?

I hate rap, and I hate movie versions of old TV shows. I think Hollywood must have my number. [IMG]

Maybe this is all the fault of an eclectic Amazon.com user.

"Look here, Smithers. It says, 'Customers who bought Have Gun, Will Travel Season Two also bought Eight Mile!' This gives me an idea!"

    "It's genius, sir."

When I read this news in the paper, I had to do a double take.....All I can say is....BAD IDEA!!!! Eminem was okay basically playing himself in '8 Mile' - but I'm not about to buy him playing a bounty-hunter-for-hire. Stick to your rap CDs slim shady and stay out of hollywood.
