Freddy's backstory has been re-iterated many, many times. A prequel is pointless. What else can they show/reveal? Freddy actually raping kids? I'll pass, thanks.

Englund is 59, so he won't make a convincing late-20/early-30-ish man.

Also, you take the Nightmares out of a Nightmare On Elm Street movie, is like taking the sex out of porn.

When is the last time there was an actual solo Nightmare? 1991, with Freddy's Dead. Not a quality entry, but still. 15 years is way too damn long for such a great character. WCNN doesn't count, because it's an imposter and the real world.


The Freddy's Nightmares pilot was semi-told through the eyes of Freddy. His perception, as contradicting to the films as it was.

It was also terrible, and I don't recommend ever looking for it, but that's niether here nor there.

I thought his ideas for Freddy were pretty good, much in line with what I would want to see.

Too bad to see he's more jazzed to do a "Henry" sequel. sounds like a terrible idea.
