Elliptical vs 18"dish (1 Viewer)

I was wondering, if it were possible to you two 18" dishes instead of the elliptical dish to hd programming. 1 for the 101 sattellite and the other for the 119 sat.

Yes you can do that, one dish will be for regular programming and the other for HD programming.

I replaced my elliptical dish yesterday with 2 18" dishes.
You have to use a multiswitch. My signal strengths went from 65 to 90 on 101 and from 35 to 80 on 119.

I have the elliptical dish and I get 90 on 101 and 75 on 119. I think this has a lot to do with where you live. I originaly wanted to go with two dishes but I did not want another dish on my roof and that is why I went with the elliptical. I am lucky to get such good signals from both sats. Good luck on what ever you decide.
