Elite 33TX or Denon 1801 (1 Viewer)

I can get either one refurbished for about the same price ($269) on ubid. I'm leaning toward the Elite b/c it has preamp outputs for all channels, but I love the way my Denon 1601 sounded. Any thoughts? Which is the better sounding machine with Paradigm mini mons?

John,
I can't tell you which receiver would sound better with your Mini's but I think the Elite would offer a lot more flexibility if you should decide to trade up to a pair of(for example) Studio 100's in the future. Pre outs are always nice to have if you decide you need more power. You can also look at amps with different sonic characteristics which might suit your ears/speakers better than the amps in your receiver.
What other dissimilarities are there between the two units besides the lack of pre outs on the Denon?
